The Beginings of a Summer Porch

Matthew 11:28

This post will be short on words, and full of Pictures. That's always the best part, anyhow, right?

Today was beautiful, so I started getting my porch ready for summer.

A few of these treasures spent the winter in the house, so now was the time to return them to the great outdoors.

It's still a little too early for annuals, not to many in stock yet, so I used some cut flowers for now. I just used some recycled cans with water inside the flower pots.

Stencil-Room with a View

This is my first cutting edge stenciling project, it was seriously so easy, it only took a few minutes.

 

I taped the stencil directly on the wall with blue painters tape, just like in the instructional video, along with written instruction and lots of Q&A's

I ordered the stencil and the roller, and I had them in a couple days, they provided super fast shipping.

I just rolled the roller in the paint on a paper plate and then rolled it off onto paper towels until the roller appeared dry. Then I just rolled it over the stencil applying medium pressure. I think I only had to add paint twice to the roller. Then I was done... I just removed the stencil and admired my work!

There are no windows in my bathroom, (hence the poorly lite photos) so we  hung an old window over the stenciled wall, for a beautiful "view" The window was given to me, I like a good deal, but I LOVE FREE!

I will be adding more stenciling in the bathroom and other areas, that's the nice thing about stencils, you can use them over and over again! And Cutting Edge Stencils are of such a high quality I know it'll last forever!
