Creating with Vintage Books

I'm BACK! At least I think I am...
Just sort of "testing" the waters to see if I even remember how to do this!
I can't believe I haven't post in almost a year...

I so enjoyed all this, Life just got in the way, you know how that is...
But, I so missed this and decided it was time to make time and get back to the things I enjoy, the things that make me, well me!

I've been slowly getting back to Creating, and these books are a perfect creative outlet for me, I love getting out the paint, stencils and ink, dreaming up new designs...

I've even been selling them in my Etsy Store! Actually selling, not just listing! This has been a real boost for my deflated sense of worth as an, (dare I say it out loud) Artist, me an artist?

The dictionary Definition of Artist:
1. a person who produces works in any of the arts that are primarily subject to aesthetic criteria.
2. a person who practices one of the fine arts, especially a painter or sculptor.

Well, I'm no painter or sculptor...But I am Creative, I really am... This is who I am, what makes me Happy! I love to create!

So yes, from this day forward I'm going to think of myself as an Artist! (sort of)

So, I'm back! I've missed sharing, I've missed visiting with all of Blogland, and I have a lot of catching up to do. So if you've stumbled upon my little post, leave me a message, so I can come visit, and catch up on all the things I've missed from all my Favorite Artists, and hopefully make some new Blogging Friends!

Thank you so much for Visiting!

  1. Your books are so pretty, Lorrie! I'm not surprised they are selling. : ) I've got some books put on the side to do something with once I'm "in the mood" to tackle them. I would like to do something for Halloween.

  2. Welcome back! Blogland extends its arms wide to embrace you back again, and agrees that you are yes, indeed, a true artist in every sense of the word. Your books are GORGEOUS and I may need to shop your wares!

You may wish to go to the blog "How Sweet The Sound" and share your wares on her (Beverly's) weekly linky party called BLOG SHOP, a forum to toute your creations for sale. : - )
