Copy Cat Tablescape

Psalms 23:5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. (NIV)

COPY CAT CHALLENGE

From Folk Magazine - Buckets of Burlap

I have been wanting to copy this since I first opened the Summer Issue of Folk

I fell in love with everything about it...

Above I created a collage of theirs and mine, views...

Since my Dogwood has been done blooming for quite some time now, I used my Rose of Sharon, I like the white better, but we gotta work with what we have, right?

I also did not have an Old Ice cream Maker, not for lack of trying (the ones I found were all way out of my price range) So I made a "faux" Ice cream maker~ I removed the handle of one of my Grinders, and stuck it on an old Bucket, not too bad for FREE!

The rest was easy, I've used my Shutter as a table runner before, so it was right where I needed it

I had 2 Painters Drop Cloths (bought for project, yet to come) I just folded them and placed them under the Shutter

A small Tin Bucket, some Burlap and small branches of Rose of Sharon

Added some of my Mom's China, and called it complete... I think I like it.

  1. You nailed this copycat, Lorrie! Love how you improvised the ice cream bucket. I wouldn't have known the difference anyway; I think the bucket itself is a nice idea.

  6. Love your copy cat. The shutter as a table runner is too creative and the bucket is a favorite of mine. I use sap buckets all the time for flowers. Great display:)

  10. I'm glad to see that I haven't been the only one that's been wanting to do that same table scape from Folk, but I have to clean the table off first. =0 I love your take on it and your flowers really set it off!

  11. It looks great! Wonder what my husband would say if I took the shutters off the house to use? (probably wouldn't be a happy camper. lol)
